Cook System includes the Grill, our flagship foldable frame with a grill surface for traditional barbecuing. Swap the grill surface for the Cook Set rail system (shown here) to use Cook Set’s Griddle, Pot or Hibachi.

Mix and Match Cookware

The Griddle, Hibachi and 2L Pot can be mixed and matched to fit whatever you’re cooking. Place the Griddle under the Hibachi to catch grease or put the Hibachi on top of the Pot to make a steamer.

Well constructed.

Well constructed and three height settings. Stores well and compact in a decent bag. NOT light and will add significantly to your pack weight

Thought it would be good,I didn’t think I would love

Works well, makes setting up a fire pit easier because it’s off wet ground. And you don’t have to soak your fire pit when done, you just let it cool down. This is especially handy for day trips, it can take many hours for a fire pit to burn out especially if tree roots catch fire. You can unintentionally start wildfires that way. Weight isn’t too bad if you split the grill and the pit between friends.

Great for hiking

I took the Fire Safe with me hiking this weekend so I could give it a try and see how it did in the snow. I couldn't believe how easily I got a nice warm fire going. I always find fires in the snow hard to maintain and keep warm with. The stand itself kept the base of my fire dry and air flowing through it. When I was done, I just let everything cool, and I buried the ash. It folded up nicely into the bag again and I carried on my way. The whole kit (the bag and Fire Safe) just feel like really good quality, I can see lasting a long time.I really like this product and I'm planning on buying the grill to go with it next time. I would definitely recommend this for day hikes or any other time you just need a quick easy fire.

Cooking Made Easy

A warm meal is best enjoyed outdoors and Cook System has everything I need to prep and cook over an open flame. I like to use the hibachi to char naan bread to serve with the Butter Paneer Curry, which I can make entirely in the 2L Pot. Taking the lid off and reducing the liquid gives the flavors a chance to meld and me some time to chop up some fresh coriander on the chopping board. This is a meal best served piping hot by a cold river.

FAQ

1. Cook Set is designed to work on the WG Grill. Simply attach the rail system to your WG Grill frame using the toggles and grooves and place your cook surfaces between the rails.
2. We suggest using some fat (butter or oil) to lightly grease the Hibachi and the Griddle before use to stop food from sticking to the surface.

1. Use the Pot Gripper to remove hot cookware from the heatsource.
2. Discard any food waste and let the pot cool down before rinsing with water.
3. Use a nylon scrubber (or similar soft scrubber or sponge) and dishwashing soap to rub away any food residue.
4. Remove caked on food or grease by laying a hot damp cloth over the stain and letting it sit. Once the stain has softened, scrape off with a nylon scrubber or cloth.
5. Dry all pieces thoroughly.

No, Cook Set was designed for use with charcoal and wood fires only. It requires even dispersion of heat, and the concentrated flame produced by a gas burner could cause the stainless steel cooking surfaces to warp.

At the Campsite
1. Use the groove on the cleaning tool to remove residue from the grill rods
2. Wipe down frame and wires with a soft cloth
3. Unlatch the Grill surface and unhook the brace
4. Fold the frame until fully collapsed
5. Roll the Grill surface around the frame and pack into the carrying case
At Home
1. Soak your Grill surface in hot water and gently clean the rods with steel wool. The surface of your Grill can also be placed in the top rack of your dishwasher.
2. Use a sponge with soap and hot water to clean the frame
Tip: In between uses, you should use the allen key provided to tighten the bolts on your Grill. Regular tightening will ensure they never fall out accidentally or get lost mid-trip.

We’ve tested Fire Safe on a variety of surfaces and, in general, Fire Safe minimizes scarring or scorching the surface below. For example, we’ve placed Fire Safe over short grass and tested a small cooking fire, and found no damage. However, depending on the size of your fire, there is always a possibility the damage can occur, so we advise you not to use Fire Safe on sensitive materials such as plastics, long grasses, and finished wooden surfaces.

At the Campsite
1. Ensure the fire is completely extinguished and all pieces are cool before handling. Do not extinguish with water, as this will cause distortion. Except in emergency situations, ensure your fire dies down naturally.
2. Use handles to lift the insert out of the frame.
3. Discard the waste into a safe container.
4. Use a nylon scrubber (or similar soft scrub or sponge) to rub away ash or residue from your fire. Avoid using water at this point.
5. Fold the insert and frame and slide into the carrying case.
At Home
Avoid using excessive water when cleaning your Fire Safe. Fire Safe is made of 304 stainless steel, which is resistant to rust, but it is not rust proof. Water can get inside the hinges and cause them to stick or rust. If your Fire Safe is exposed to water, dry it as soon as possible and leave in a well ventilated environment.
1. Use a clean, dry cloth to brush off all residue.
2. Remove caked on food or grease by laying a hot damp cloth over the stain and letting it sit. Once the stain has softened, scrape off with a nylon scrubber or cloth.

Fire Set works by striking steel against a Ferrocerium rod which produces extremely hot sparks - up to 2980 C (5400 F)! Just make sure you have a nice bed of tinder and kindling for your sparks to fall into.
For Fire Set to work properly, use a highly flammable material as a catch for your sparks. We recommend using Spark Fiber or a cotton ball dabbed with a bit of petroleum jelly.

1. For optimal performance, use Spark Fiber or a cotton ball dabbed with some petroleum jelly as a catch for your sparks.
2. Prepare your kindling, such as birch bark or dry twigs.
3. Scrape off the black paint covering the ferro rod.
4. Set the ferro rod against Spark Fiber.
5. Use the top edge of the striker to apply pressure and strike firmly.
